"Ex Oriente Lux: Out of the East Comes Light" - Myth and Reality

Abstrakt

In the course of the Second Vatican Council, the Roman Catholic Church arrived at the idea of rediscovering and introducing Eastern elements into her liturgical renewal, for example through concelebration, communion under both species, etc. We must, however, critically review those assumptions according to a modified and expanded version of "Comparative Liturgiology" which can also be of great value for a future view of ecumenical relations based on worship/liturgy as "orthopraxis".
