Abstrakt

In the Bible, the word (logos) is of crucial importance from its beginning until its ending. This article focusses especially on the apocalyptic radition, which tries to speak a final word on man. The first part of the article is about the contemporary return of apocalyptic motifs, which represents an increasing annihilation of the human logos. The second part of the article deals with the biblical story of the Genesis, the beginning of the Gospel of John and the Revelation to John. The third and last part focusses on the fragility of the word, in which the vulnerability of the human condition shows itself, by referring to one of the paradigmatic apocalyptic reflections on modernity,
