The acquisition of third-party funding is a key pillar of research at the University of Vienna. Third-party funding makes research projects possible and is also a sign of quality and relevance. They promote young researchers by providing doctoral students and postdocs with financial security and embedding them in a research-active environment, and contribute to the innovation cycle in basic and applied research that is open to application.
