Forschungsgespräch mit Prof. Dr. Eduardo Mendieta

Prof. Hans Schelkshorn and the Institute for Intercultural Philosophy of Religion invite you to a research talk with Prof. Dr. Eduardo Mendieta (Penn State University, USA).

After a welcome by Prof. Schelkshorn, two lectures on "The Dialectics of Coloniality/Modernity: Rewriting a Classic" and "Poverty and Latin American Philosophy" will follow, each with discussion opportunities (English/German).

Eduardo Mendieta is Professor of Philosophy and Latina/o Studies at Penn State University (USA); his research focuses primarily on Latin American philosophy, critical theory, and Frankfurt discourse theory. Eduardo Mendieta is one of the leading thinkers of de-colonial thought; in 2017 he received the Frantz Fanon Outstanding Achievement Award.
